Hi Oddies,
Jen Glantz here. I just wanted to say thank you for the gigantic outpouring of love last week. I wrote about how I want to sell this newsletter. A ton of you reached out sharing how much you adore the information inside of this thing and it made me want to hold onto it for a bit longer. A lot of you also reached out with interest. So I’m still exploring options while also exploring what it could look like to keep running this thing myself.
Odd, I know.
Moving on! Today, let’s make you money in the easiest way possible.
Rent out the stuff you have.
You have stuff. I know you do.
Let’s turn it into dollars.
You can rent…ANYTHING. I really mean anything (see below).
For example, a weirdo company entered my inbox last week. I can’t stop thinking about them.
Here’s what they shared:
Meet Sniffspot, a platform that enables anyone to rent their backyards out by the hour, creating a safe and private dog park. Many homeowners are earning up $3000 per month (the average booking is around $9-15/hour), and do not even need to be home to accept guests. Example: Kyle’s Private Ranch and Lake Dog Park in Southern California - has earned $40,000 since late spring 2023 and had a $7000 a month! He has had marriage proposals, many trainers and rescue dogs utlizie the space and even final visits before doggie’s needed to cross the rainbow bridge :( at his Sniffspot.
Who knew this was a thing? An odd thing but a way to make money thing.
I have a bunch of other ideas for you below, including renting your WiFi!!! clothing, power tools, and garage.
Let’s go!
Ditch the nerves. Become a Strong Public Speaker in 2024.
One of the most useful skills I’m glad I’ve mastered is the art of public speaking. Being able to share information in an engaging way has helped me get jobs, exciting opportunities, and has landed me on live TV over 50 times.
The truth is, for 50% of my life, I was extremely shy. Public speaking was a nightmare. I’d practically break out into hives if a teacher called on me during class.
I went from being scared to being on stages in front of 1,000+ people — and actually loving it.
How did this happen?
It’s easier than it seems.
I created a short but actionable course that teaches you the exact steps you need to take to manage nerves and become a master at public speaking.
In the video course, you’ll learn how to use your voice, body language, and word choice to engage your audience, how to handle nerves, and the magic trick that will help you quit saying ummmmm.
The course also includes 1:1 coaching and feedback on quick assignments.
