Discover more from Odd Jobs
Jen “Odd” Glantz here! I was browsing the internet this weekend and found so many different AI tools out there that are slowly taking over our lives and perhaps even some of our jobs.
Ah!
There are tools out there that I could have used to write this entire newsletter today and you would never have known. But, dear reader, I did not do that because I still have passion inside of my heart to do this work myself. However, I am sharing those tools with you below. There are tools that can generate research reports, memes, podcast names, and so many other things that you might consider paying big money for.
Do you think AI will one day put us all out of work? I think maybe yes, maybe no.
Read on to see some of the wild ones that I found on the internet.
PS. I have THREE open spots for 1:1 coaching NEXT month. This month is all booked up. These go fast so if you ever wanted to work together on a life-career-side hustle strategy, I’ve got your back.
Let’s dive in:
ChatGPT: This tool has been in the news a lot lately. It does a lot - like breaking down complex information to writing in conversational tones.
Copy.ai - You’ve heard me mention this one a lot in this newsletter. It’s brilliant copywriting and it’s free. They have a paid version, which is great if you need a lot of copy written for you every month. You might have to make a few edits but this tool helps writer’s block and helps you get a creative head start.
Poised - A tool that helps you become a better public speaker and give you actual feedback - whoa.
SuperMeme - Type in any word or phrase and this tool spits out different meme options for you to use. Ps. My friend Molly tried out the SuperMeme AI tool and found something so strange and kind of offensive about it. More on that here.
Anhcor Podcat Namer - A tool that helps you generate a name for a podcast. It’s the ultimate brainstormer for someone who needs an endless list of ideas.
LegalRobot - When you start a business, you need a lot of legal help. Sometimes you need someone to review other contracts before you sign them to help you understand deals or terms of an agreement. This tool helps break down what’s inside a legal contract, what to know, and what to question.
ViralPostGenerator - Okay this tool is semi-funny and semi-helpful. It helps you write viral Linkedin posts. All you have to do is answer two questions and it spits out something for you to share on Linkedin about that topic. Worth a try - and free!
ChatBox - If you have an e-commerce website or want to give your customers real time customer service, you can use ChatBox. It uses AI to answer your customer’s questions and requests, even while you’re asleep. Not free - but they have a $50 a month option.
Fireflies - Uses AI to act as your personal assistant during meetings. You can use this service to take notes to make sure you don’t miss anything important during an important call. Free!
Podcastle - If you want to start a podcast but have no idea how, this tool helps you handle the storytelling, editing, and makes your podcast sound professional by just using AI.
Talk to Books - Not really for business - but a cool tool. Helps you find books that include certain terms, passages, or quotes.
Looka - Free logo maker and brand builder. You tell them your brand name and industry and it generates a ton of options and ideas.
Lumen5 - Video editing using AI and great for someone who isn’t a professional AT ALL!
Namelix - Helps you generate a name for your business - obsessed with this tool

Sunsama
At the end of the month, all the things I procrastinated on come back around and haunt me and my to-do list. I find myself working late, unable to enjoy date nights, and staying up past my bedtime to rush to get things done.
This month was the first time, in a long time, that didn’t happen. Here’s why - I used Sunsama. They’re the only “planning assistant” that’ll act as your friend in need if you want to prevent burnout and establish a sustainable routine. It pulls your emails, calendar events, and tasks from your favorite apps into one focused view for just today and hand-holds you towards work-life balance.
