Jen “Odd” Glantz here! I’ve been putting out this newsletter less often than usual. After writing almost 100 issues of Odd Jobs, I’ve slowed down and tried to be more mindful about what I’m putting out, and how often I enter your inbox.
I’ll probably send this newsletter 2x a month instead of every week.
So I’m back this week with really awesome Artificial Intelligence tools & news that can help you easily become an entrepreneur. Most are even free (and freee is the best when you’re trying to put an idea in motion).
But if you’re looking to read my other weekly newsletter, The Monday Pick-Me-Up, here’s where you can subscribe. It often features really odd jobs, ideas, and tips, that you’d love.
How to Use AI to Start an Odd Job
When you’re starting a side hustle or project, you need all the help you can get. But if you don’t have a roster of trusted freelancers or even a big budget to hire a bunch of people, it might be time to turn to Artificial Intelligence.
There are some pretty awesome tools out there that can do A LOT of awesome things. I loved this article about the future of Taylor Swift and AI + and this podcast, which uses AI to create a fake interview from Joe Rogan and Steve Jobs - it feels so real it gave me chills.
So I wanted to share a list of tools I’ve found and used that can make starting a bizz easier and sometimes even less expensive (many of these tools have free versions).
Let’s dive in:
Copy.ai - You’ve heard me mention this one a lot in this newsletter. It’s brilliant copywriting and it’s free. They have a paid version, which is great if you need a lot of copy written for you every month. You might have to make a few edits but this tool helps writer’s block and helps you get a creative headstart.
LegalRobot - When you start a business, you need a lot of legal help. Sometimes you need someone to review other contracts before you sign them to help you understand deals or terms of an agreement. This tool helps break down what’s inside a legal contract, what to know, and what to question.
ViralPostGenerator - Okay this tool is semi-funny and semi-helpful. It helps you write viral Linkedin posts. All you have to do is answer two questions and it spits out something for you to share on Linkedin about that topic. Worth a try - and free!
ChatBox - If you have an e-commerce website or want to give your customers real time customer service, you can use ChatBox. It uses AI to answer your customer’s questions and requests, even while you’re asleep. Not free - but they have a $50 a month option.
Fireflies - Uses AI to act as your personal assistant during meetings. You can use this service to take notes to make sure you don’t miss anything important during an important call. Free!
Podcastle - If you want to start a podcast but have no idea how, this tool helps you handle the storytelling, editing, and makes your podcast sound professional by just using AI.
Talk to Books - Not really for business - but a cool tool. Helps you find books that include certain terms, passages, or quotes.
Looka - Free logo maker and brand builder. You tell them your brand name and industry and it generates a ton of options and ideas.
Lumen5 - Video editing using AI and great for someone who isn’t a professional AT ALL!
Namelix - Helps you generate a name for your business - obsessed with this tool
