Jen “Odd” Glantz here!
I’ll admit it. I haven’t seen the Barbie movie yet.
It’s not because I don’t want to or don’t think it’ll live up to the hype.
It’s just that I can’t seem to find the time to tip-toe to the theater, fumble around with some popcorn, and watch a screen.
A friend told me about a drive-in theater down the road. I figured what a great plan! Pack the car with treats, Goofy (the dog), Gemma (the baby), and Adam (the husband), and drive on over. We could watch it all together (since we do 100% of things as a family these days). But then I saw the movie is only playing at 9pm and that just won’t work with bedtime and bath time and…you get the hint.
So instead of writing about Barbie the movie, I want to write about Barbie the odd job career woman.
But if you’re like Jen, I don’t care about Barbie. Maybe you’ll care about the business of drive-in theaters instead. Pretty cool idea!

I’ve been sharing visibility into the wild world of brand deal negotiations on Linkedin. This post is about the extremely low offer The Container Store sent my way and how I handled it.
