Jen “Odd” Glantz here!
I wrote about this in my Monday email but wanted to share it here as well.
I’m meeting a lot of new people these days - which means I’m having a lot of these:
Tell me about yourself conversations.
Most people are not very good at talking about themselves.
Most people, when asked that question, don’t even know where to start.
I find that people answer that question in three different ways:
Some share who they were.
Some share who they are now.
Some share who they want to be.
Perhaps the best way to answer that question is with a combo of all three.
You have lived such a dense and dynamic life so far. Share more.
I now introduce myself by sharing a past, a present, and a future.
I’m Jen Glantz. I started a business called Bridesmaid for Hire, I’m now a new mom, and I’m working on creating new tools using AI-technology that make people’s lives easier.
Your turn. Introduce yourself. What’s your then, now, next?
Odd Ways to Make $100 a Day
A friend shared this article with me about a woman on TikTok who is experimenting with fun ideas to make $100 a day. She’s done a lot of interesting things — from data annotations to surveys - and more.
If you watch her videos, you might find yourself feeling a combination of both genuine excitement to do the same and try out some of these ways and pure exhaustion. Some of the ways she makes money seem easy. Others seem time consuming. But an extra $100 really can go a long way.
So if you have time to spare or you’re eager to bring in more cash, I’ll share some ways you can earn an extra $100 a day and how to get started.
Let’s go!
Respondent: I signed up for this and after you fill our your details (job, industry, skills) you’re matched with researchers who will pay you for your time and knowledge. Let’s say you’re an expert at marketing for fintech companies, you might be asked to share strategies, trends, and more —- and you can get paid $$$ for doing this. Easy to sign up!
User Interviews: I aslo gave this one a try and it’s the same type of thing! You fill out a profile and are contacted if a researcher needs someone to interview with your background. I saw some opportunities that were $75+ enter my inbox.
Thinkific: Create an online course and sell it to make passive income. I have a few of these and they generate a lot of extra cash a month. Creating a course can take a few days - a week but selling it, at first, will take time and marketing. The best way to sell a course is to reach out to people (blogger, influencers, etc.) and make them affiliates. They can promote your course and earn 20-30% while you earn the rest when it sells. I can’t recommend this enough! You can make a course about really anything. This women has made millions teaching my least favorite topic - excel.
InboxDollars: Surveys are always a go-to way to earn extra money. I signed up and tried this site and liked it because there are a lot of varying opportunities. Some earn you a little bit of cash ($5) and some earn you more ($65+). If you’re sitting around on a rainy day, you could tap into these offerings and try them out.
Wrapify: I don’t have a car so I didn’t try this one but you can get paid to wrap your car with a brand’s logo. I feel like I’d do this if I drove!
Evidation: Get paid to walk and do other activities. Looks like you need a Fitbit or Apple watch - I don’t have one of those so I didn’t try this.
Fiverr: While this site is crowded with people selling freelance services, I think you could score big if you find a nice that’s booming. I use this site 1x a week to hire people to do small tasks or projects.
Neighbor: This has been my favorite way of getting extra cash. You can rent our your garage or a closet for people to store things in.
What do you think of these ways? Another ideas you want me to share?
