Odd Ways to Make Money on Thanksgiving
Stuffed with turkey? Sit on the couch and make some cash.
This Week: We are exploring the odd/cool ways you make money when you’re sitting around during Thanksgiving.
Today, we’ll chat about a handful of ways to make money, whether you have an entire hour to spare or a few seconds. On Friday, I’ll leave your inbox alone.

Make Some Cash
If you’re sitting around this week, stuffed from all the side dishes in the fridge, in need of a break from your family members asking you why you’re still single, or off work from your full-time gig (that’s always elevating your stress level), and you want to make a few extra dollars, here are some unique ways.
Line Holder
People will pay you to wait in line for them - whether at the DMV or at Best Buy for Black Friday shopping. You can make around $25/hour. Perfect for someone who likes to chill…just not on their couch.
Find gigs here.
Decorator
If you have an eye for design and decor, get paid to set the table for other people’s Thanksgiving gatherings, put up Christmas decorations, or even string lights.
Check out this awesome woman who does this.
Create That Course
I’ve mentioned this before - creating an online course is such a great way to make passive income. Pick a skill, hobby, or interest and turn it into a course. Sell it on a platform like Thinkific and BOOM! Let the cash trickle in. If you have down-time this week, start building your course from scratch.
Survey Taker
If you’re home watching endless TV, multi-task and make some cash with surveys. Here’s some places to go.
Pet/Home Sitting
Need a change of scenery? Sign up to be a pet sitter / home sitter this holiday season.
Final Exam Tutor
With so many students preparing for final exams, sign up to be a virtual tutor, especially if you’re a rockstar in that topic.
Sales Newsletter
If you are great at sourcing deals, discounts, and sales - consider creating a for-pay newsletter that alerts your audience about the best items and the biggest sales. You charge $5/month.
Deliver Groceries
With so many gatherings happening right now, make cash delivering groceries through places like DoorDash or Instacart. OR call local stores and see if they need in-store or delivery help.
Flip Products
Hunting for good sales this week? If you buy any in-demand products at a discount, consider flipping them on marketplaces (eBay, Facebook, Amazon) and make cash off the items you snagged.
Rent Your Space
Rent your space, or your stuff, here’s how.
