Jen “Odd” Glantz here! I’m back in Florida visiting my parents and when I’m home, I work downstairs with the TV on all day.

I love working with background noise and also, when the TV is on, I learn things.

Some of the things I learn are pointless (like how to make salmon tacos…I’m a vegetarian) or how much the price of gas is right now in my local city (I don’t drive).

BUT, I did pick up a lot of interesting things too. LIKE SO MANY ODD JOBS! I’m sharing those with you today below. All of these jobs I learned about just by watching a ton of local news and television.

Keep scrolling, my odd friends.

Ps. know someone who would adore this newsletter?

Make $$$ By Moving

There’s still so many cities out there that will pay you money to move there. So if you’re working remote and don’t mind packing up your life and ending up in a new place to earn some cash money, it could be a great way to make some extra cash in 2022.

Get Paid $100k to Taste Candy

Canadian candy company called Candy Funhouse is hiring a professional taste tester, with a salary of up to $100,000 per year. The chosen applicant will be responsible for taste testing roughly 3,500 products each month, running company board meetings and approving new candy inventory with their “CCO stamp of approval.

Sell Items from Retailers

I’ve seen this gig a lot on Instagram - people who buy pallets of items or returned goods from retailers. A lot of retailers have pallets of items that didn’t arrive on time and now they sell them, at a discounted rate, to people who want to buy them and then resell those items on their own website, on re-sale sites like Poshmark, or even through social media.

You can check out how to make money selling Amazon pallets here or just how to find pallets in general here.

Retro Beach Motelier

Love to travel and find cool hotels? The Hotels.com Retro Beach Motelier will receive a $10,000 stipend to spend the rest of summer traveling back in time to the best retro beach motels across the USA. Plus, you get a $5k stipend to spend on…snacks!
